1.0- The Beginning

On a warm fall night in 2019, Ali walked into what she assumed would be just another pregame party before heading to the bars. The gathering was brimming with friends, social sports teammates, and a few attractive single ladies. That's when Ali met Carly. The moment their eyes met; Ali sensed something extraordinary about Carly.

Without hesitation, Ali asked Carly to be her beer pong partner. As the party wound down and people began transitioning to the bars, Ali stuck close to Carly. They spent hours talking, dancing, and enjoying a few drinks. Ali then asked Carly if she wanted to get pizza and relax at her apartment. Initially, Carly didn't realize Ali's intentions, but after what felt like countless hints, Carly finally understood.

From that night onwards, the two spent nearly every moment they could together, cherishing each other's company through nights out and lazy days on the couch. But when 2020 arrived and Covid struck, a crucial decision loomed. Should they quarantine together or separately? Unfortunately, Ali had been struggling with her drinking and not clear headed. She messed up and made the regrettable choice to let Carly go. They broke up. The first chapter of their story ended.

2.0- Rekindled Flames

Three years later, Ali had gone through a transformative recovery program, rediscovering her true self and finding solace in the companionship of her dog, Finn. She embraced a healthier, more vibrant life. Carly, meanwhile, had ventured down a different path, finding someone new who brought her happiness. However, fate had its own designs. This new person was not right for Carly.

In the spring of 2023, Carly decided to reach out to Ali. She suggested they take their beloved dogs, Finn and Nala, on a hike. When they finally met again, it felt as if no time had passed. They hiked, their dogs played, and familiarity wrapped around them like a comforting embrace. Yet, trepidation lingered; they chose to remain "just friends."

That resolution lasted barely three minutes before they both succumbed to the undeniable truth—they were still deeply in love. The universe had a plan for Ali and Carly, and that plan was love.
